Terah Bajjalieh is a certified sommelier and currently is an assistant winemaker at ASV Wines in San Martin, California. She has ten years of experience in the wine industry. She graduated with a bachelor of science in finance from San Jose State University and also holds a master’s degree in enology and viticulture from Montpellier Supagro in France. She started her professional career in wine by studying for the level two sommelier exam through the Court of Master Sommeliers at the International Culinary Institute. After completing this certification she entered into the bay area wine scene by collaborating with other sommeliers at various food and wine events while diligently working in many different aspects of the industry to broaden her exprience. For example, she worked in wine bars, reviewed wine for various websites and also worked at The Village Pub, a Michelin starred restaurant. A few years later she started working in the production of wine, domestically and globally. Her international winemaking experience ranges across five countries totaling thirteen harvests, including infamous regions such as Meursault, Barossa Valley, Marlborough, Mendoza, Sonoma, Napa Valley, and Oregon. Terah is very passionate about the international aspect of wine. She loves exploring new regions and is driven to constantly challenge herself and improve her skill set. She looks forward to consulting globally one day. Most recently, she completed the Wine and Spirits Educational Trust (WSET) level three while starting her own wine project. She plans to pursue the Master of Wine Program in 2020.
